Happy Birthday Mom!

My mom celebrated her 60th birthday this year. We are all so blessed to call her our "Mom" and for our kids to have her as their "Nana". Mom, here is to 60 wonderful years and to hopefully 60 more!! We love you so much!

Happy 30th Birthday Allison!

For Allison's 30th birthday, we had a girls night out at Urban Crust. We met for a few drinks, ate a declicious dinner and then headed rooftop for a couple more beverages. We love you Allison!!

4th of July at the Dowd's

We had a GREAT day at the Dowd's to celebrate the 4th of July! The kids swam for about 7 hours straight, with only a couple of 10 minute breaks to eat. We had such a fun time hanging out with everyone and the kids loved every second of playing with all the kids. We all decided to forego fighting all the traffic to see the Mansfield firewords display and decided to set off a few at the Dowd's house. Reese and Collin are still a little leery of fireworks being so close, but they tried to watch from afar! After setting off a few outside, we watched the New York fireworks display on television, with all the inspiratinal, patriotic music. We actually really enjoyed this as well! Fun times with great friends!!

On the 3rd of July, we went and watched the Frisco fireworks show with the Devlin's. The kids hung out, watched movies, and played until the show started. Once the show started, they had fun watching all the pretty fireworks and picking out which were their favorites!!

Reese Lost Her FIRST TOOTH!!!

On July 1st, Reese lost her first tooth! Her tooth had been loose for a few weeks, but had gotten really loose those last couple of days. That night, when I put her to bed, she was playing with it alot. I was trying to convince her to leave it alone because I didn't think it was quite ready and I didn't want it to hurt. After she was all tucked in, lights out and good-nights said, about 15 minutes later she comes running out of her room shouting that she had lost her tooth!! We ran in to tell Collin and we also called Jeff (he was at his softball game)! She was so excited, but I don't know who was more excited--her or Collin! I thought it was so sweet that he was as excited as she was and that he didn't feel upset or jealous, he really is so sweet.
Well, we had to find something to put her tooth in and set out a glass of water for the tooth fairy. The next morning, Reese came running in to tell me the toothfairy had visited and brought her $5.00! She also said the tooth fairy was purple (as you can see in the picture above). We know she was purple because if you leave out a glass of water, she will take a drink from the cup and the water will turn the color of the fairy. Not only did she leave us $5.00 and purple water, she also left fairy dust which was sprinkled all around!!

Father's Day with my DAD!

We celebrated Father's Day with my Dad a week late because of other "stuff" going on, but we definitely got together and enjoyed hanging out. We swam at Amy & Brian's and cooked out. We had a great time chatting, swimming and spending time together!

Father's Day

We spent Father's Day low-key and laid back, celebrating what a great father Jeff is! Reese and Collin love and adore him and cherish almost every moment they have with him. They count down each day until the weekend because they know he will be around from Friday until early Monday morning. Jeff is so great about letting the kids "help" him around the house and the garage and having them tinker with him. They enjoy spending time doing nothing exceptionally special, just being with him. How blessed we are for our little family!
