Winning Moment from Cheer Extravanganza

We were so excited to win Cheer Extravaganza! The girls worked so hard and the parents put in lots of hours helping and supporting the girls. Such a great experience--and so proud of the best little cheerleaders in Frisco!

Halloween was so much fun! We went to the Armondo's and Janis is always the best hostess! Everything was so nice and decked out for Halloween. We hung out, ate and took the kids trick-or-treating. After they loaded up with TONS of candy, we went back to the house and the kids bobbed for apples. They LOVE doing this and giggled and giggled until they couldn't breathe. Collin was quite enthusiastic and was soaking wet! The kids then changed into their jammies and watched a movie. This has become a Halloween tradition (being with the Armondo's) for us and we love it!

"Donuts with Dad"

In October, the kids had "Donuts with Dad" at Sparks. It also happened to be dress up like your "favorite community hero" day, so Reese dressed up as a teacher and Collin as a fireman. The kids loved having Jeff at the school for breakfast and then were able to butter him up to get him to buy them lots of books at the Book Fair. I think that is why they have Donuts with Dad on opening day of Book Fair...Dad's are suckers!

Collin - "You Sparkle" Award

Collin was recognized during the Sparks Friday morning assembly for receiving a "You Sparkle" award. He received it for "volunteering whenever help is needed". His award said, "a classmate's snack spilled and Collin was immediately responsive witout any prompting!" So proud of my little guy.
The "You Sparkle" awards are handed out to students at Sparks that go out of their way to be exceptionally helpful or kind to another person at Sparks.

National Walk to School Day

National Walk to School Day! All of the kids from Sparks met at the park and then they all walked to Sparks. The kids loved it.

Pumpkin Patch

We only made it to one Pumpkin Patch this fall. We had a CRAZY fall schedule with cheer, baseball, me going back to work, etc--seems like we hardly had time to breathe. We had a blast when we did go to the pumpkin patch and the kids enjoyed picking out pumpkins, doing the hay maze, the pumpkin catapult, the bounces houses, etc. It was a beautiful afternoon and a perfect day for some quality family time.

Mother-Son Dance 2010

This was the first time for us to go to the Mother-Son Dance and we had such a great time! We went with Amy & Brant and Stacy & Caleb. We first went and had pizza and then got ice cream. After eating, we headed to the dance. I couldn't believe how much the boys danced and what a great time they had. I think we were all worn out at the end! What a fun, special time I had with my Collie--love him dearly!

FFL Cheer--Red Raiders

FFL cheer was a wonderful experience and was one we were so glad we ended up participating in. I was reluctant to have Reese do it, but ended up having such a good time. Our Red Raider football team was so good and Coach Forrest was so wonderful to the cheerleaders. We were lucky to be included and appreciated and really felt like a little family. We are looking forward to all growing together and many fun times ahead.
To top off having so much fun, the football team were named "Division Champs" and went 7-1. We lost our second playoff game, but were still so proud of how great the boys did. The cheerleaders ended up taking FIRST PLACE at "Cheer Extravaganza" and it was a tight race. The girls worked so hard and I stressed alot (sad I know), but I just wanted them to experience that hard work truly does pay off. So, we are truly proud to be RED RAIDERS--what a great experience!

Stampede Baseball Fall 2010

Fall baseball was a little rough this season. The boys played a division/year "up", so the teams were all a year or two older than they were. They ended up losing a lot of their games, although ended up in the middle of the standings. The boys played coach pitch, so they struck out after 3 strikes and weren't able to hit off the tee. Overall, a good experience, but looking forward to a little maturity and seeing how the spring goes!
