Brooks William Miller

Introducing our new, sweet, precious nephew....Brooks William Miller. He came 10 days late, on 2/22 and weighed in at 8lbs. 8oz. Uncle Russ and Aunt AC are proud parents and doing GREAT!! The kids were in awe of him and can't wait to go see him again. I got to hold that little angel Tuesday morning and he was so alert. We are so excited to have a new nephew!

Soccer has started again!!

Reese had her first soccer game of the season last Saturday. The girls are slowly getting back into the swing of things. Each girl plays 2 quarters--the first quarter Reese played she didn't even attempt to kick the ball (even when it was near). So, Daphne and I decided she needed a little motivation. When she came off the field, Daphne showed her 2 quarters and told her she would give her a quarter for each time she kicked the ball and I told her if she kicked it 5 times, that I would get her a coke. Well, the second quarter, she was a little reluctant but she definitely kicked the ball more than 5 times, so she got the 2 quarters and a coke. I just want to help Reese build the confidence to KNOW she can do it!!! She is fast and I *think* she has the ability to do well. So, I hope thru small motivators, we can build that confidence and get her on a good roll!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a pretty low key "family style" Valentine's Day. Reese and Collin had their favorite chocolate chip muffin bread and chocolate pudding. After breakfast, they got their Valentine treat bucket which they loved. We had a low key morning around the house and then went and saw "Princess and the Frog"--one of the better animated movies I have seen. Kids enjoyed it too--HA! We then came home for dinner and roasted marshmallows. A perfect way to spend a day about "love"--with my family!

"How I Became A Pirate"

Coco and Papa treated Reese & Collin (and Jeff & myself) to the Dallas Children's Theater's presentation of "How I Became a Pirate". Collin and Reese both love and adore this book, so I knew they would love it. Both of them thoroughly enjoyed the show and had such a fun time meeting the pirates and Jeremy Jacob after the show was over. Collin was just sure these were REAL pirates and was even a little nervous to get too close-HA! Once again, the fun thing about Collin, is his true enjoyment of life and what it has to offer. Collin's favorite pirate was Captain Braid Beard. Reese loved the show too and her favorite pirate was "Milt" the girl pirate. Thank you Coco & Papa for such a nice treat and a wonderful time!

Let it snow....

It has snowed more in Dallas this year, than in any winter I have ever had! This last Thursday and Friday, it has snowed around 10" and has made for some great playing and fun memories. The kids have had so much fun building huge snow balls, having snow ball fights, building a HUGE snowman, sliding in the snow and on and on. We have been in and out, and dried more gloves and scarves than I care to count.

Valentine's Party at School

This last Tuesday, the kids had their Valentine's Party at school! The kids were really looking forward to it. They each signed all of their own cards and wrote all of their friends names on their Valentine's, so they had worked hard and were ready to hand them out. At the party, they had pizza, exchanged valentine's, played Valentine Bingo, and also played "pin the heart on cupid", so they had a fun party and have been eating candy non-stop since!

Daddy Daughter Dance

Last Saturday, Jeff took Reese to the Daddy Daughter Dance. Reese had been looking forward to their special night for a few weeks. Reese picked out exactly how she wanted to wear her hair and she picked out the exact color she wanted her nails. We met over at the Armondo's for pictures and then the 5 of them (Jeff, Reese, Mike, Ashton & Arabella) headed to the dance. Jeff said the girls had a ball dancing, eating and getting to drink a coke! After the dance, they had dinner at Isabella's. What a special night for Jeff & Reese!
While the Jeff & Reese were doing their thing, I took Collin on a movie date to see "Alvin and the Chipmunks". Collin loved the movie! He got to have ice cream, gummy worms, pop corn and an icee--quite a treat! We had a good time too! I was glad to have a little one-on-one time with my little guy!
