"Donuts with Dad"

This last Thursday, Reese and Collin had "Donuts with Dad" at their school. They were thrilled to have him come to school and eat donuts with them. They each had made him a special picture and answered some questions about him. I wanted to share a few.....

Reese:

Me and my dad: like to swing high on the swimgs together.

My dad's work is: fixing things.

When I am sad: Dad makes jokes.

I love my dad because: I love him so much.

Collin:

We like to watch: race cars in my doggie jammies....on TV together.

When I am sad Dad: holded me.

I love when my Dad: eats popsicles with me.

Dad's favorite food is: pepper. He likes to put pepper on his lasagna.

Happy Valentine's Day...

Jeff went out of his way to make Valentine's Day special. He sent me flowers (my favorite-tulips), he made dinner reservations, 3 weeks in advance so we could go eat at one of our favorite restaurants and lastly got me a new phone--which I was thrilled to get! Thank you Jeff for going above and beyond. I love you dearly and feel so blessed to have you as my husband.

Valentine's Parties at School

These are pictures from Reese & Collin's Valentine's parties at school. Each of the kids signed their own cards this year and delivered them into each of their friends "mailboxes". It is so fun to see them recognize their friends name and know who they belong too. I am amazed at how much they have learned and grown this year.

Daddy Daughter Dance

February 7th was Reese's first official Daddy-Daughter Dance. She looked so beautiful and had a fun time! We tried to primp a little before the dance by doing a manicure and pedicure at home. Then, we fixed her hair and put on a tiny bit of make-up, she was so excited to get all dressed up and be pampered like a BIG girl. After she got all dressed, Daddy gave Reese a little gift--it was a necklace that said "I love you" on one side and "Daddy" on the other side. She loves it and we hope it will always be special to her. After she got dressed and we took a few pictures at home, we headed over to the Armondo's and took a few pictures with Arabella and Ashton. After that, they were headed to the dance. Someway, somehow, Jeff and Reese managed to lose her flower bow between the Armondo's and the dance. So, she never made it to the dance with the bow...BUMMER! Anyways, when they got there Jeff said it was really crowded, loud and they couldn't find a seat anywhere. He said Reese was completely overwhelmed and not having fun. So, he did what any AWESOME Daddy would do, he got her a coke and some cookies and let her just soak it all in. After a little time and LOADS of sugar, she finally loosened up and started to enjoy herself. After lots of running in circles, dancing and playing--they headed to dinner at Buca di Beppo. He said this is where the girls had the most fun. They ate pizza, got a soda and even got dessert (a huge piece of chocolate cake-yum!). When they got home, Reese was EXHAUSTED. She is still talking about the dance and loves to show off her dress and necklace. What FUN!! Note: I have never let my kids order a soda or drink a soda. Yes, Reese has sipped mine, but I am saying a SIP. I am okay with this happening once a year, but we don't do it on a regular basis, so it really was a treat. Collin won't even try soda, so not an issue with him.
I wanted to take advantage of some time with Collin, so we had our own little date. I got him a little gift as well, he got a new basketball shirt. We then headed to Peter Piper Pizza. We ate pizza, played games and then he got to pick out some prizes with his tickets. It is really nice to spend individual time with the kids. They enjoy the special attention and Jeff and I enjoy the time spent.

Dinosaur Eggs!

At school, Reese's class has been studying Dinosaur's. They even made fossils! When I picked up Reese from school, she brought home dinosaur eggs (2 of them). Ms. Nish was so sweet to include one for Collin--her class is always so thoughtful of him. Anyways, they brought home the eggs and the instructions which were to break them open, outside, with a hammer or something hard (with an adult of course). So, check out the pictures, the kids LOVED it and I thought this was such a cute idea!

Brant's Birthday Party

Happy Birthday Brant!!! Brant had his birthday party yesterday and the kids had a blast. They first played on all the inflatables at "Pump it Up" and then Amy had this awesome face painter and the kids got their faces painted. Reese and Collin had such a great time and were happy to help Brant celebrate turning 6 years old!
